Many thanks to @laurahershfeld of Gibsons Lodgings of Annapolis and Art in Public Places Commission for funding “The Waterman” Mural Project on Prince George Street Annapolis across from Gibson’s Lodgings of Annapolis.
Special Thank you to @MarylandPaint&DecoratingLLC for the extra attention and to United Rentals of 10 GIBRALTER AVE Annapolis @UnitedRentals for the use of their scissor lifts.
A tribute to the early misty morning life of Annapolis, the wildlife and the people
who stand above the fog while upon the water. The central figures are from photographs obtained from The Library of Congress of gentleman oystering these very waters. Date unknown. Believed to be 1950s. This mural aims to reflect the quiet moments of morning in Annapolis.
Thanks to Jahru Studio without whom this never would have happened, their continued work and commitment to community and excellence are an inspiration, their presence of mind and accomplishments show evidence of what art does for the public dialogue.
Thank you to Mayor Buckley and @TheCityOfAnnapolis.
